I Just recently moved to Nash County, my waitress at another Restaurant turned me on to The Showside. From the time I stepped foot in the door until the time I left, Amazing Food, Excellent Service & The Atmosphere is Unbelievable & Live Music.... The John Sloop Quartet was playing that Evening. I thought to myself as I drove away. Spring Hope North Carolina is with the times. Just An Amazing Experience. I will be a Regular.

After such a bad afternoon at work I decided I needed something to pick my spirits up so I stopped in at the Showside Grill & Bakery in Spring Hope. Who knew! I told the owner about needing something chocolate to cheer me up and he brought out the most light, airy, chocolaty treat I'd had in since forever. It did the trick. Before leaving I'd had a delicious meal and a heavenly dessert. Mike turned an otherwise sour afternoon into a sweet evening. Thanks Mike! Showside -- I'll definitely be back!!

I just wanted to let Mike and Mike know how much I enjoyed the desserts. The pound cake was outstanding and I loved it with my coffee for breakfast. The chocolate in the mousse cups truly melted in my mouth. The flavor was truly unbelievable and I would love to use them for our company parties in the future. Please let me know if they have a website that I can pass on to others. It is outstanding that we have them in the RTP area.Anne Wessell
We were delighted to have Contagious Confections be a part of our first Opening Doors for Autism Gala. Having tasted their efforts in other settings, we did not give it another thought when asked who we needed to contact about the dessert table. We will be asking them back as the exclusive dessert provider next year as well.(Opening Doors for Autism) ODFA Committee
My girlfriends and I go to a wine festival in Virginia every fall. This year I decided to do something special for the group so I ordered the Sugerplum Cookies and other yummies for the trip. They were the hit of the weekend and I'll be sure to get my order in for next year! Thank you Mike and Mike!Miki Davis
There are desserts and then there are DESSERTS! Thank you for showing me the difference. I think this is a great housewarming gift idea!Jean Gardiner
My wife and I wanted the perfect desert for our Rehearsal Dinner in Chapel Hill, NC a few months ago. We served the Chocolate Mousse and it was to die for. We had filet, high-end cheese and a professionally made salad, but what everyone talked about after dinner he was the dessert. Bravo!
Sleepy little communities like Spring Hope are constantly scouring their turf in search of a claim or two to fame. Well, it's time to move over Pumpkin Festival because there's a new sheriff in town. His name is Mike Ward and from day one of taking over Showside Restaurant, he has worked his tail off waking up our culinary senses. And he is actually pulling it off! Pop quiz time: how is it that Showside is suddenly generating such buzz after slumbering for years as just another place to grab a bite to eat? I believe the answer is simple, yet profound.
First off, Mike gets it. And he makes sure his staff gets it too. You see, when we walk through his doors, he knows that we are craving far more than just good food. After all, the Golden Corrals, K&Ws, and such are just a short drive away if that's all we want. No, what we are looking for is a good time. That is, we want to be entertained in the midst of our food and spirits. That's it. Nothing more and nothing less.
Second, not only does Mike understand what we are really looking for; he delivers it. Whether it be the stimulating decor, the upbeat atmosphere, or even the snazzy food presentations, he brings his "A Game" every time, day in and day out. Talk about putting a pep back in your step! And did I mention the food is fantastic?Cye Gray
